Jaecoo Pakistan has announced a new safety update for its J7 SUV, introducing free factory-fitted underbody and battery protection for all new units. The decision comes after a viral incident in Taobat that raised concerns about vehicle durability in challenging road and terrain conditions.
According to the company, all newly manufactured J7 vehicles will now be equipped with a protective sheet designed to safeguard the battery and underbody components from potential damage. The upgrade aims to enhance the vehicle’s resilience, particularly for drivers navigating rough landscapes, mountainous regions, and off-road environments.
In addition to new models, Jaecoo has also extended support to existing J7 owners. The company confirmed that current customers will be able to get the same underbody protection installed free of cost starting July 1, 2026. Installations will be carried out through authorized dealerships across Pakistan to ensure proper fitting and quality standards.
Pakistan’s Auto Industry Is Back in Gear but Who’s Driving?
The automaker has also announced that booking updates and related information will be available through QR code access beginning June 10. These QR codes will be shared via official dealership social media platforms, allowing customers to easily register and stay updated on service schedules and installation procedures.
Industry observers see this move as part of a growing trend among automobile manufacturers in Pakistan to improve after-sales support and respond quickly to customer feedback. By offering free safety enhancements, Jaecoo aims to strengthen customer trust and improve the overall reliability image of its J7 SUV in the local market.
