Former Indian captain Ravi Shastri has made a prediction about the teams that will reach the Champions Trophy 2025 final. Shastri, who was speaking on ICC Review, predicted that India and Australia will face each other in the final. He based his prediction on the past performances of both teams in major events, saying that they have always performed well.
Shastri also predicted that South Africa and England will meet in the semifinals. However, he did not include Pakistan in his list of potential finalists. This comes after former Australian captain Ricky Ponting also excluded Pakistan from his list of potential finalists, predicting that India and Australia will be the last two teams standing.
Ponting had said that both India and Australia have quality players and their recent history and performance in ICC events make them strong contenders.
