Punjab’s “Own Roof, Own Home” Program Makes Strides

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has recently announced remarkable progress in the “Own Roof, Own Home” program, an initiative designed to provide affordable housing to low-income families. As part of this effort, 21,797 houses are currently nearing completion, reflecting a significant step forward in addressing the housing needs of residents in the province.

The program facilitates loans for plot owners in both urban and rural areas, enabling families to build or renovate their homes. So far, over 26 billion rupees have been disbursed in loans, benefiting more than 25,000 households.
