In the initial phase, the project will introduce around 10,000 electric bikes along with 300 docking and charging stations across Lahore. The initiative aims to provide a modern, sustainable, and cost-effective travel option for citizens, especially students and daily commuters.
According to officials, the service will be operated through a mobile application, allowing users to easily locate, book, and rent e-bikes. The system is designed to make short-distance travel more convenient while reducing dependence on fuel-powered vehicles.
The project is being developed in collaboration with multiple government departments to ensure smooth implementation and long-term sustainability. Authorities believe that the initiative will help address major urban challenges such as traffic congestion, air pollution, and rising fuel costs.
