Kia Pakistan has increased the prices of its hybrid vehicles by up to Rs. 1.2 million following the increase in sales tax on hybrid cars to 25%.
The latest price revision affects the Sportage L and Sorento hybrid variants, adding to the growing cost pressure on hybrid vehicle buyers in Pakistan.
The Sportage L 1.6T FWD HEV is now priced at Rs. 12.199 million, while the Sportage L 1.6T AWD HEV costs Rs. 13.299 million.

Prices of the Sorento Hybrid have also increased, with the AWD HEV now reaching Rs. 17.899 million.
Kia says the price increases are a direct result of the higher tax burden following the sales tax change. Several other automakers have also revised the prices of their hybrid models in response to the new taxation policy.
The development is likely to put additional pressure on Pakistan’s hybrid vehicle market, as higher prices could make fuel-efficient vehicles less affordable for consumers.
