The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has issued a show-cause notice to the Chief Executive Officer of Veteran Enclave Limited over the alleged illegal marketing and sale of plots in an unapproved housing scheme located in the Taxila area.
According to official reports, the notice was issued under the directives of the Commissioner of Rawalpindi Division and RDA Director General Engineer Aamir Khattak. The move is part of the authority’s ongoing efforts to curb illegal housing projects and protect the interests of property buyers.
The RDA stated that the housing scheme is accused of carrying out promotional campaigns and selling residential plots without obtaining the required No Objection Certificate (NOC) or formal approval from the relevant regulatory authorities. Officials claim that advertisements for the project were being circulated through various channels, including social media platforms, despite the scheme lacking official approval.

Authorities have repeatedly warned the public to verify the legal status of housing projects before making any investment. Purchasing plots in unapproved schemes can expose buyers to financial losses, legal complications, and delays in development.
As part of its enforcement campaign, the RDA has intensified its monitoring operations across Rawalpindi and surrounding areas. The Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate has been tasked with closely tracking housing schemes suspected of operating without proper authorization.
Officials say strict action will continue against developers who violate planning regulations or attempt to market projects without obtaining the necessary approvals. The authority aims to ensure transparency in the real estate sector and safeguard citizens from fraudulent or unauthorized developments.
The latest action reflects the government’s broader commitment to regulating the housing sector and improving compliance with development laws. Prospective investors are encouraged to check project approvals with the RDA before purchasing property to avoid potential risks.
The crackdown on illegal housing schemes is expected to strengthen public confidence in the real estate market and promote responsible urban development in the region.
