The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has successfully auctioned a 527 kanal and 10 marla land parcel owned by Bahria Town in Murree District as part of efforts to recover Rs. 26.47 billion in outstanding tax liabilities.
According to reports, the property is located at Mauza Kathar Sharqi on Angori Road, Tehsil Murree, District Rawalpindi. The auction was conducted under the provisions of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, and the Income Tax Rules, 2002, following multiple attempts to recover the unpaid taxes.
Officials said the latest auction was successful after an earlier bidding process failed to reach completion. While businessman Musawar Abbasi had emerged as the highest bidder during the previous auction, the latest auction was won by a different Pakistani businessman. The identity of the successful bidder has not yet been officially disclosed.

The auction marks another step in the FBR’s ongoing efforts to recover outstanding tax dues through legal enforcement measures. Further details regarding the completion of the sale and the recovery process are expected to emerge after the relevant legal and administrative formalities are finalized.
