Chinese automaker Geely Auto has officially entered the Pakistani market after appointing Bestway Group as the exclusive importer and distributor of its Geely Galaxy lineup in Pakistan.Under the agreement, Geely plans to launch two battery-electric vehicles in the country during the third quarter of 2026:
- Geely Galaxy EX5 — a compact electric SUV.
- Geely Galaxy EX2 — a compact electric hatchback designed for urban driving.
Both vehicles will initially arrive as Completely Built-Up (CBU) imports before any potential local assembly plans are considered.

Bestway Group to Handle Operations
As Geely’s local partner, Bestway Group will be responsible for:
- Vehicle homologation and regulatory approvals.
- Development of the dealership network.

The partnership gives Geely immediate access to an established automotive infrastructure following Bestway Group’s acquisition of Al-Haj Automotive.
Growing Competition in Pakistan’s EV Market
Industry observers believe the arrival of the EX5 and EX2 could intensify competition in Pakistan’s emerging electric vehicle sector, particularly in the electric SUV and urban hatchback categories.
However, analysts note that Geely’s long-term success in Pakistan will depend not only on competitive pricing but also on:
- Availability of spare parts.
- Reliable after-sales support.
- A strong nationwide dealer network.
