In a landmark achievement for Pakistan’s maritime industry, Port Qasim has been ranked the 9th most improved container port in the world in the World Bank’s Container Port Performance Index (CPPI) 2024.
According to the report, Port Qasim improved its performance score by 35.2 points between 2020 and 2024, showcasing major progress in operational efficiency and international competitiveness.

This recognition places Port Qasim ahead of India’s Jawaharlal Nehru Port and alongside prominent global ports such as Posorja (Ecuador) and Gothenburg (Sweden).
