Before the tournament began, the ICC announced a 53% increase in prize money compared to the 2017 Champions Trophy. However, Pakistan has been eliminated after losing both of its group-stage matches against New Zealand and India.
With India and New Zealand advancing to the semi-finals from Group A, Pakistan and Bangladesh are out of the competition. They will still play their final match on February 27 in Rawalpindi. Pakistan, as the host and defending champion, currently sits last in the group standings.
The winning team of the 2025 Champions Trophy will receive $2.24 million, while the runner-up will earn $1.12 million. Semi-finalists will receive $560,000 each. Since Pakistan did not advance beyond the group stage, it is not eligible for these prizes.
Additionally, teams that win at least one group-stage match are awarded $34,000. If Pakistan defeats Bangladesh in its last match, it will be eligible for this prize. Depending on the final rankings, teams in 5th or 6th place will receive $350,000, while those in 7th or 8th place will get $140,000. Pakistan’s final earnings will depend on other match outcomes.
Despite early elimination, Pakistan will still receive $125,000 for participating in the tournament, as promised by the ICC for all eight competing teams.
