China’s latest innovation in automotive technology has arrived with the BYD luxury off-road brand Denza, showcasing an SUV that can lift any wheel off the ground without using a jack. The feature is part of the new B8 Flash Charge Edition, highlighting how advanced suspension systems are reshaping modern driving safety and convenience.
The system uses an advanced hydraulic setup known as DiSus-P Ultra, which allows each wheel to be controlled independently. This means the SUV can raise a flat tire automatically in less than a minute, making traditional roadside jacks unnecessary in many situations. The demonstration showed a full tire change completed in just 1 minute and 56 seconds, highlighting both speed and automation.
One of the most impressive features is emergency mobility. In case of a tire failure in a dangerous location, the vehicle can continue moving on three wheels at speeds of up to 15 km/h, helping the driver reach a safer area before stopping for repairs. This adds an extra layer of safety, especially on highways or remote roads.
BYD Launches Electric Vehicle Deliveries in Pakistan
Automakers like Aito and Li Auto are also developing similar technologies, showing a growing trend in China’s electric vehicle industry. Instead of focusing only on batteries and charging speed, companies are now investing in active suspension systems and intelligent vehicle control.
Experts suggest this innovation represents a shift toward smarter mobility, where vehicles not only drive but also respond dynamically to emergencies. The idea of “self-adjusting cars” could soon become a standard feature in future electric SUVs, making driving safer and more efficient for everyday users.
