A Chinese smartphone manufacturer has announced what it describes as the world’s first robot phone, featuring an innovative AI-powered robotic camera system. The device is scheduled to be officially unveiled in China on August 12.
According to the company, the phone’s standout feature is its motorized camera module, which can automatically pop out and rotate in multiple directions. Unlike conventional smartphone cameras, the robotic system is designed to deliver smoother and more stable video recording, offering a professional, gimbal-like shooting experience.
The camera is also equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) that can automatically recognize and track people or moving objects. Whether users are walking, recording vlogs, or capturing action scenes, the camera can follow the subject without manual adjustments, helping create more cinematic and stable videos.

The smartphone will feature a triple rear camera setup, led by a 200-megapixel primary sensor capable of capturing high-resolution images with improved detail and enhanced long-distance photography. The company says the advanced imaging system is aimed at photography enthusiasts and content creators looking for professional-quality results from a smartphone.
If the device performs as promised, it could introduce a new direction in smartphone photography by combining AI with robotic camera technology. More details about its specifications, pricing, and international availability are expected to be revealed during the official launch event on August 12.
