Haval hybrid SUV lineup in Pakistan could become significantly more expensive if the company invoices vehicles under the newly applicable 25% sales tax. The biggest expected price increase is likely for the Haval H6 PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle), which may see its price rise by up to Rs. 1.961 million.
The potential increase follows changes introduced under the Finance Act 2026–27, which effectively end key tax concessions previously available for hybrid vehicles. As a result, imported hybrid models are expected to face a higher overall tax burden, leading to increased retail prices.
Industry experts believe the revised taxation could affect consumer demand for hybrid vehicles, especially in the mid-range and premium SUV segments. Buyers considering a hybrid SUV may now face substantially higher on-road costs, potentially influencing purchasing decisions.

Automakers are expected to announce updated price lists once the revised tax structure is fully implemented. Until then, prospective customers are advised to stay in contact with authorized dealerships for the latest pricing and booking information.
The expected price hike highlights the broader impact of the government’s revised taxation policy on Pakistan’s automotive market, particularly for environmentally friendly hybrid vehicles that had previously benefited from lower tax rates.
