In a strategic move to cater to Pakistan’s evolving auto market, Nishat Motors has officially launched the Jaecoo J7 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), a locally assembled mid-size SUV designed to bridge the gap for buyers seeking eco-friendly technology without the range anxiety of a fully electric car.

Priced at an introductory ex-factory price of Rs. 9,999,000 for the Premium variant, the J7 PHEV is offered in two trims: Comfort and Premium. This launch follows the company’s introduction of all-electric models and addresses the current limitations of Pakistan’s EV charging infrastructure. The plug-in hybrid system allows for electric-only driving for daily commutes while providing the flexibility of a gasoline engine for longer, inter-city travel.

To instill confidence in this new technology, Nishat Motors is providing a comprehensive warranty package, including a 6-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty and an 8-year or 160,000 km battery warranty. Bookings are now open with an advance payment of Rs. 2 million, and the first deliveries are scheduled to begin in mid-December 2025.

FAQs: Jaecoo J7 PHEV in Pakistan

1. What is the price, and is there a deadline for this price?
The introductory ex-factory price for the Premium variant is Rs. 9,999,000. This price is valid until November 30, 2025. The price for the Comfort variant is to be announced.

2. What is the difference between the Comfort and Premium trims?
Both trims have the same PHEV powertrain and performance. The difference lies in certain safety and interior features, which are reduced in the base Comfort variant to offer a more affordable option.

3. Why is a PHEV like the J7 a good choice for Pakistan right now?
A PHEV is ideal because Pakistan’s EV charging network is still developing. It offers the benefits of electric driving for daily use, saving on fuel costs, without the “range anxiety” associated with fully electric cars on long trips.

4. What are the warranty details?
The warranty is very comprehensive:

  • Vehicle: 6 years or 150,000 km, whichever comes first.
  • Battery: 8 years or 160,000 km, whichever comes first.
This is crucial for assuring buyers about the long-term reliability of the hybrid system.

5. When can I get the car if I book it now?
Deliveries for the Jaecoo J7 PHEV are announced to start from mid-December 2025.
