Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has officially approved Bangladesh’s national carrier, Biman Airlines, to operate three weekly flights between Dhaka and Karachi. With this approval, Biman Airlines will add a third flight on the route, further expanding air connectivity between the two countries.
According to aviation officials, the airline will assess passenger traffic, market demand, and operational factors before starting the additional flight. Currently, Biman Airlines is operating two weekly flights on the Dhaka–Karachi route using a Boeing 737 aircraft.

These flights were resumed on January 29 after a 14-year suspension, marking a significant step toward restoring direct air links between Pakistan and Bangladesh. The approval for an extra weekly flight is expected to provide more travel convenience for passengers, support business and tourism, and strengthen people-to-people contact.
Authorities believe that increased flight frequency will play an important role in improving bilateral relations, enhancing regional connectivity, and encouraging trade and cultural exchange between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
