A Pakistani oil tanker carrying 80 million litres of diesel has arrived at Karachi Port after completing a fuel shipment from Kuwait.
According to Karachi Port Trust (KPT) sources, the vessel successfully completed its voyage and reached the port after a smooth journey through regional waters. The ship had crossed the strategically important Strait of Hormuz three days earlier.
Reports suggest that the vessel was given special clearance to pass through the Strait of Hormuz amid heightened regional tensions. After crossing the strait, it entered the Gulf of Oman and continued its journey toward Pakistan without any disruption.

The tanker, identified as Khairpur, completed its route safely and docked at Karachi Port on schedule. Authorities confirmed that the cargo of diesel will help strengthen fuel supplies and support the country’s energy requirements at a time when global oil markets remain uncertain.
The arrival of such a large shipment is considered important for Pakistan’s energy security, as the country relies heavily on imported petroleum products. Smooth delivery through sensitive maritime routes also reflects continued operational coordination in international shipping lanes despite regional instability.
