The local administration has imposed a strict ban on the use of high-beam, laser, and modified headlights on vehicles, citing serious road safety concerns. The decision comes after a growing number of accidents linked to the use of excessively bright lights, especially during nighttime driving.
Officials stated that high-intensity and altered headlights can temporarily blind other drivers, making it difficult for them to see the road clearly. This loss of visibility significantly increases the risk of collisions and puts both drivers and pedestrians in danger. To prevent further incidents, the administration has decided to enforce the ban with immediate effect.

The restriction is not limited to vehicle usage alone. Authorities have also prohibited the buying and selling of high-beam, laser, and modified headlights across the city. This step aims to stop the widespread availability of such lights and discourage motorists from installing them.
According to traffic officials, powerful headlights are among the leading causes of road accidents, particularly on highways and poorly lit roads. Drivers approaching from the opposite direction often lose control or misjudge distances due to the glare, which can result in serious crashes.
Anyone found violating the ban will face legal action under Section 188, which deals with disobedience of lawful orders issued by public authorities. Penalties may include fines and other legal consequences.
Motorists have been strongly advised to comply with the new regulations and use standard, approved vehicle lighting. Authorities emphasized that responsible driving and adherence to traffic laws are essential to ensuring safer roads for everyone and preventing avoidable accidents.
