The Balochistan government has taken a significant step to regulate the sale of Iranian petrol by fixing its price at Rs280 per litre. The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, with the aim of controlling market irregularities and protecting consumers from overcharging.
According to officials, the government has clearly stated that strict action will be taken against anyone selling petrol above the fixed rate. This move comes in response to concerns that some sellers were charging higher prices, creating an unfair burden on the public.

Authorities have also introduced restrictions on the distribution of Iranian petrol. It has been decided that this fuel will be sold only within Balochistan and will not be allowed to be transported to other provinces. Kalat Deputy Commissioner Munir Ahmed Durrani confirmed that enforcement will be strict, and no one will be permitted to violate the set price. The administration plans to monitor markets closely to ensure compliance and maintain stability.
This decision reflects the government’s effort to control fuel prices, ensure fairness, and prevent exploitation of consumers. By setting a fixed rate and enforcing it strictly, the authorities aim to provide relief to citizens while also regulating the sale of fuel in the province.
