Indian conglomerate Adani has restored full power supply to Bangladesh after a four-month partial reduction. The reduction was due to non-payment issues, which have now been resolved. Adani Power supplies 1600 MW of electricity from its coal-fired plant in Jharkhand, India, to Bangladesh.
According to reports, Bangladesh’s outstanding dues to Adani have decreased from $850 million to $800 million and are expected to be fully paid within six months.
