Kubra Yildirim has become Turkey’s first female captain to fly the Airbus A380, the world’s largest passenger plane. Yildirim, who previously served as a first officer on the A380, has now taken the captain’s seat. She began her aviation career with an internship at Turkish Airlines’ maintenance company and later joined Turkish Airlines as a first officer. After years of flying the A380, Yildirim achieved her goal of becoming a captain.
