The Lahore Ring Road Authority (LRRA) has announced plans to develop dedicated service areas at six key locations along the Lahore Ring Road, aiming to improve travel convenience and enhance facilities for road users. The authority has officially invited applications from experienced firms and private companies for the development, operation, and management of these service areas.

According to details shared by the LRRA, approximately 10 kanals of land will be allocated for each service area. The planned locations include Bahria Town, DHA, Haloki, and Shafiqpura, among other strategic points along the corridor. These sites have been selected to serve high-traffic zones where commuters frequently require rest and refueling facilities.

The proposed service areas are expected to offer a range of modern amenities, including fuel stations, food courts, parking spaces, rest areas, and additional passenger-friendly services. Officials believe that such facilities will significantly improve the overall driving experience on one of Lahore’s busiest road networks.

The authority has outlined a long-term lease model for the project, offering a 20-year lease period to successful operators, with the possibility of an extension for an additional 25 years based on performance and agreement terms. This structure is designed to attract serious investment from reputable companies and ensure sustainable development of the facilities.

LRRA has emphasized that the selection process will be transparent and competitive, with all applications evaluated based on experience, capacity, and proposed service standards. The deadline for submission of applications has been set for June 25, 2026.

Officials added that the initiative will not only enhance convenience for commuters but also generate significant revenue for the authority while supporting the development of modern infrastructure along the Lahore Ring Road.
