Pakistan has announced a historic plan to launch its first bullet train, cutting the travel time between Lahore and Karachi from nearly 20 hours to just five hours. Currently, trains in Pakistan run at 60–105 km/h, but this new high-speed service will operate at speeds of up to 250 km/h.
