20% INCREASE IN FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT DURING FIRST HALF OF FISCAL YEAR

The State Bank of Pakistan has reported a 20% increase in foreign direct investment (FDI) during the first half of the current fiscal year. According to the bank’s statistics, from July to December 2024, Pakistan received a total of 1.329 billion dollars in direct foreign investment. A significant portion of this investment came from Chinese companies, which saw an impressive 48% growth, reaching 436 million dollars. Additionally, the United Kingdom invested 130 million dollars in Pakistan during the same period. This growth in FDI highlights positive investor confidence in the country’s economy.
