Saudi Arabia has officially declared September 23, 2025, as a public holiday to mark the Kingdom’s 95th National Day. The holiday will apply to all public and private sectors nationwide, giving citizens and residents an opportunity to celebrate the historic occasion.
The announcement comes shortly after the signing of the Pak-Saudi Strategic Defense Agreement, a landmark pact that strengthens military cooperation and deepens brotherly ties between the two nations.
Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif hailed the agreement as a milestone in bilateral relations, affirming that both countries stand united against common threats. He emphasized that the pact reflects the importance of Muslim solidarity and collective security in the region.
Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman also highlighted the growing partnership, describing the pact as a new step toward greater cooperation. His remarks followed a series of high-level meetings between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, where both sides pledged to expand collaboration in defense, trade, and investment.
The timing of the holiday alongside this agreement is seen as symbolic, showcasing a new chapter in Pakistan-Saudi relations, rooted in shared faith, mutual respect, and strategic partnership.
