The federal government has given a clear assurance to the nation that there will be no power outages during Sehr and Iftar timings throughout the holy month of Ramadan. This commitment was made by both the Power and Petroleum ministers during a joint press conference in Islamabad.
Power Minister Awais Leghari and Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik addressed the media together to share the special arrangements being made for the upcoming month. Minister Leghari stated firmly that there would be absolutely no loadshedding in any area during Sehr and Iftar times, unless there is some major technical fault beyond control.
The Power Minister further explained that even in areas with high-loss feeders where economic loadshedding is normally carried out, these restrictions will also be paused during Sehr and Iftar. This means that people across the country can prepare their pre-dawn meals and break their fast without worrying about electricity interruptions.

The Petroleum Minister also spoke about the arrangements for gas supply during the holy month. He assured the public that sufficient measures have been taken to ensure smooth gas availability for cooking during meal times.
This decision brings relief to millions of Pakistanis who often face difficulties during power outages while preparing food or gathering with family for Iftar. The government’s announcement aims to make the fasting experience more comfortable for citizens across the country.
Both ministers emphasized that these special measures reflect the government’s commitment to facilitate the public during Ramadan. They directed relevant departments to ensure strict implementation of this policy in all areas.
The assurance comes as families prepare for the month of worship and togetherness, where timely meals hold special significance. With this announcement, people can now plan their Ramadan routines with greater peace of mind.
