NADRA has introduced a new online service, allowing citizens to deposit funds in all banks through its E-Sahulat Service platform. This initiative follows an agreement signed between NADRA Technologies Limited and 1Link, enabling deposits into accounts of over 50 banks across the country.

During the agreement signing ceremony, Deputy Governor of the State Bank, Saleem Ullah, and NADRA Chairman were present. The service will be available at over 9,000 E-Sahulat franchises nationwide. Depositors will undergo biometric verification, enhancing accessibility to financial services and expanding digital banking solutions.

In response to concerns over biometric verification failures in banks and telecom operators, NADRA assured that its “Verisys” system provides secure authentication services to financial institutions and telecom companies, complying with regulatory requirements. The State Bank has instructed all banks to use NADRA’s Verisys system for user verification, reducing reliance on fingerprint authentication.

Verisys is securely linked with regulated and government institutions, facilitating the verification of National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) and Pakistan Origin Cards (POC). The State Bank and PTA are responsible for ensuring banks and telecom companies utilize this system for identity verification. PTA, in collaboration with telecom operators and NADRA, has already implemented a mechanism to authenticate customers at service centers and franchises.

NADRA advises citizens to follow PTA’s prescribed verification process and report any complaints to telecom operators or PTA. Additionally, NADRA is working with the State Bank and PTA to introduce facial recognition as an alternative verification method for users facing fingerprint authentication issues.
