The Hajj Operation 2026 has officially begun in Pakistan, marking the start of a spiritually significant journey for thousands of pilgrims. The first Hajj flight departed from Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, carrying 160 pilgrims on their way to the holy city of Mecca.
During the departure ceremony, Nihal Hashmi addressed the pilgrims and extended his heartfelt wishes. He described those traveling for Hajj as truly fortunate, emphasizing the spiritual importance of performing this sacred duty. He encouraged the pilgrims to represent Pakistan with dignity and positive behavior, reminding them that they serve as ambassadors of the country during their stay in Saudi Arabia.
The Governor highlighted that Pakistan is known as a land of love and peace and urged the pilgrims to reflect these values through their conduct. He also requested them to pray for the country’s stability, prosperity, and progress while they are in the holy cities.

After his remarks, Nihal Hashmi warmly bid farewell to the pilgrims, wishing them a safe journey and a fulfilling Hajj experience. The launch of Hajj operations signals the beginning of a large-scale effort by authorities to ensure smooth travel, accommodation, and support for pilgrims throughout the season.
This first flight sets the tone for the rest of the Hajj operation, as many more pilgrims are expected to depart from different cities across Pakistan in the coming days.
